After dropping out of my studies, I entered IT as a career changer. My first job was at the Leybold-Heräus company in Cologne-Bayenthal, vacuum technology. For example, vacuum packaging for coffee is produced there.
My boss, Mr. Loos, was an intelligent man. After a few months, he told me the following sentence: “Mr. Mrosk, you will always have difficulties in this job.” He was to be proved right.
Nevertheless, I did “this job” for 40 years. In the end, I can’t complain. I’ve always been able to sell myself well, so I’ve earned well. But a love affair between IT and me never developed.
